Again and again the question arises how professional vacuum sealers differ from household vacuum sealers.

In general, it can be said that a 99% vacuum is needed to make fresh products last longer. Professional equipment uses a vacuum sealer for this purpose. This is evacuated by a vacuum pump and only generates the known contact pressure on the vacuum product after the vacuum process. The oxygen contained in the air can easily escape and a vacuum value of up to 99.8 % is possible.

Since the bags of a household vacuum sealer are pressed directly against the product during the evacuation phase, the air contained in the product cannot escape and an extension of the shelf life can only be achieved at temperatures below 0°C. The vacuum cleaner is also able to produce a vacuum of up to 99.8 %. The maximum vacuum value of 95% has no significant effect on slowing down bacterial growth.
